Did you know the current x15 platform is slated for replacement? The "next generation" x15 is a completely different (rear-geartrained) engine that's supposed to be coming out in the next few years

I have a 10 speed transmission, Peterbilt 6NZ 500 HP Cat it's pulls 78,000 great, but I now y'all haul 90,000 pounds so i understand why you which out the transmission. I thinking about a 13 speed just for fun...!

That sounds about right for a C-12 overhaul wise. Only know 2 guys that got more than that and theirs are straight trucks. C-12 engines are actually a pretty solid engine good on fuel reliability. Just not a big engine. But they do everything well.

Sounds like a good Maintenance program. We do every 15000 on all of ours too. You notice you never see 139 in the shop ever (class pays) safe travels buddy we're headed to the walcott trucker jamboree next week in walcott iowa and get all cleaned up. Here in Australia can buy a pre emissions x15 cummins

We sent C500's, X15 with SCR only to China, was weird to look at in a new truck. No egr cooler, bare on the right side of engine, looked like pre-emissions ISX. The export units you see there were likely ordered for a customer that cancelled them. Could be consignments from Paccint that are sitting on the lot, or the dealer got stuck with them if they ordered them, , maybe destination changed their rules and they couldn't be shipped. We had a C500 6x6 that was Ero 3, they chaneged to Euro 4 while it was being built, cust had paid for it though, took about 12-13 yrs to sell it, had some offers, cust rejected the offers.They could have stripped the engine out and used it for spares, cab trans, axles, susp was useable on 75 others that were already over there, they wouldn't do it.

It's ok for the government but not for us. 😡

If they want “emissions” we should use the Euro 6 model. Those engines have the engine and dpf as two separate systems. No EGR, no VGT turbos, no derate, etc. On the Cummins Australia website they LITERALLY state they avoid EGR and VGT’s bc they’re unreliable and are inefficient components. It’s all about the money at the end of the day for the manufacturer and the EPA.

Plus those emission system are not cleaner.

The reliability of the emissions systems have became much more reliable. Deleting trucks is a good way to end up with massive fines or prison.

You can trade your old pre emission engines in for new content engines. All your old CATs can be exchanged for engines that are brand new. New crank, block, and heads. It's not reman it is newly casted and manufactured engines look it up

They are killing the industry

I have seen gliders with only frame cab and front axle .no engine , transmissions or rear ends . The only trucks you can use day to day is 2011 our newer in california . Denis from Santa Rosa Ca .

In most of Europe they are now building x15 & yes X17 758 HP with out EGR systems the EGR is the death of the diesel engine our great leaders won’t do that because it won’t create jobs

We are supposed to eat corn and not use it for fuel. As it is and my thinking, our weather has suffered immensely and the freight that now gets to us is inflated because of emissions related costs. To turn it around is no small task either. Biden was never our president, he can't walk to the bathroom without getting lost. So tired of the Obummer days

You need to use the MaxMileage Catalyst from Pittsburgh Power. It will eliminate most of the emissions problems and clean your engine of soot, since soot is the root cause of major issues. It is good for any gas or diesel engines, and cleans them so they run better.

All these out of state companies and businesses need to stop kissing californias ass. California must honor legal compliance for out of state vehicles including CMV’s. They can not enforce their rules and regulations on your vehicle as long as it is compliant in your home state. Non permanent modifications or accessories is a different story such as rear detectors, but permanent features such as tint, exhaust etc are considered permanent and California has no jurisdiction to govern your vehicle that is registered in another state so as long as you yourself are not a resident of California.

in industrial applications they do called a QSX15, 685 hp on a genset i’m sure they have em in marine application also…. my N14 computer came off a bow thruster in a ship 535hp so they say 😁👍

Trucking isn't the same now,since you have to have electronic logs! That Sucks!! Im an old school trucker,since 1978 with paper logs,an enjoyed trucking very much and made tons of money! Not now though,drivers now are nothing more than glorified steering wheel holders with a CDL

Emissions in my view is a scam just another way for these big co-operation and the government to make money, they are the only one's who really benefit from trucking
